So sorry to hear this, Avon. My thoughts are with you and your family. I can really empathize -- as I type this I am down with my parents -- received a call Saturday night that I'd better fly down immediately to LA and see my father, as he is hospitalized with double pnemonia and stage 4 kidney failure and he is starting to lose lung/breathing function. Not Covid, but essentially same symptoms of viral pnuemonia, so I wonder... Docs don;t think he'd survive intubation, but he's an ex-US Marine and a fighter, so holding out hope he can get trhough this. My mom is also showing signs of dementia. Anyway, as children of aging parents, we're at "that stage" of life now and it's really hard to deal with, especially when I realize my kids will have to deal with this some day... Keeping a positive outlook - it's a beautiful day in S.Califonia, I saw on the news it may get close to 90 F this week.
