I'm not an expert in this area, but the USA has "walked back" their comments about an imminent invasion.  Jen Psaki said something along the lines about their communication not sending the right message, but I think they were just bending the truth and got caught out.

This isn't the first time the new cycle has gone through this, remember 6 or so years ago the same story was going around.

When Russia look like they are preparing to treat a large number of casualties, then you should be worried.  WWIII I don't think this is.
