Subj : Daily Life To : All From : Avon Date : Sun Feb 06 2022 09:04:02 Hi there Hope you're doing OK in this busy world we're all living in right now. Here in New Zealand we're in the middle of a long weekend as we celebrate Waitangi Day. It's a day that reflects the signing of a document between indigenous Maori and the European settlers that arrived by boat some 100+ years ago. Have a look for more info online if interested. Suffice to say it's a 3 day weekend and some of us (cough cough me) have opted to tack on 1-2 more days off over the following week to get a longer break :) Yesterday my wife and I did some shopping in town, she bought the James Bond film No Time to Die and we watched that last night. I think I'll post a review / comments in the movies echomail area in the coming days or so. Earlier this week was busy as our youngest son (who had been back living with us for 5 weeks) moved out to a new flat. So the parents were involved in helping him get shifted in OK. I did a lot of lugging and lifting of sofas and large appliances for the kitchen. My back is not very happy at the moment. In a few weeks time I will be traveling to spend time with my parents. My dad needs cancer treatment and my mum is showing signs of dementia and needs help with preparing meals, working home appliances etc. I'll look after her while dad is away during the week. He needs to travel also to get the treatments he requires. I expect I will be away for about a month. Traveling during a rising wave of Omicron is not ideal but it is what it is. At the moment I've been gearing up for this extended stay away, getting a new work laptop sorted, etc. What else, did some gardening, planted some plants, should mow lawns but the weather has been wet. I have a few new nodes to add today to fsx, have been looking at USB microphones, thinking about getting something there for use with future videos but I also have a nice microphone (Shure) I use with my LPFM station, so I may flog that and see if I can get it working the way I want. It's nearly 9am Sunday now, I'd best go get breakfast sorted for my wife :) Best, Paul --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/11/06 (Linux/64) * Origin: Agency BBS | Dunedin, New Zealand | agency.bbs.nz (21:1/101) .
