I like some Vermouth in my martini.  If you add just the right amount it
makes the drink.  I normally do 1.5 gin, .4 vermouth, splash of olive
brine.  I do shake it as I want it cold and I don't mind if it dilutes
it as the flavour of gin can handle that.

That's my typical after work drink.
