I believe defence in depth.  The shots do help lessen the severity of symptoms
(but likely won't stop you catching covid).  Keeping healthy, getting proper
rest and maintaining good Vitamin D levels will help on top. Mask wearing and
avoiding crowded places, especially indoors, can help prevent you getting
infected in the first place.

With the time I spend outside all year round, my Vitamin D levels are going to
be quite good (and the doc has never raised concerns, despite my blood tests
usually being in mid winter).  Sun exposure in moderation can help with
infections.

With a number of important meets most weekends this time of year, I'm avoiding
unnecessary exposure to crowds when I can, especially indoors.  I didn't go to
a major public event a week ago for this reason.  I'm less concerned about
covid itself, but the mandatory week (or more, depending on disease progress)
isolation is highly problematic this time of year.
