Dude I have these *exact same* problems with a client of mine downtown.

Telephone system is antiquated shit, but it works, owner can't/won't upgrade, 
and the security system is completely oblivious to daylight-time changes. 
ALWAYS needs babysitting and adjustment, even suffers from "clock drift".
