This is my rendition of Angry Grandpa's "Hamburger Pie". This recipe adds more of a southern flair with the added bell peppers, jalapenos (though it will still have a southern taste
without the jalapenos), and cherry tomatos. This recipe will serve 6. 

Ingredients:
           
32 ounces ground beef
32 ounces cottage cheese (Ricatta cheese will work also)
16 ounces elbow macaroni
16 ounces mozzarella cheese
10 cherry tomatoes, halved
2 clove crushed garlic
1 onion diced
1 bell pepper diced
1 tsp salt
Optional: 3 chopped jalapenos

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350

While oven is preheating, cook ground beef, garlic, onion, bell pepper, and jalapenos
until beef is brown and vegetables are soft.

Remove beef and veggies from heat and cook macaroni. Add ground beef and veggies as bottom layer

Add halved tomatoes as second layer.

Add cottage cheese (or Ricatta cheese) as third layer.

Add cooked macaroni as third layer.

Add remaining mozzarella cheese as top layer.

Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.

Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes

Will serve 6.
