Also, say, Google, where if you had a couple hundred bucks, you could've
reasonably joined in the IPO.

But figure this is back when AOL was seen as a highly-valuable company (and
back before people began to think that Time Warner acquired AOL and it was a
terrible idea, instead of AOL converting their worthless stock into Time
Warner, which was a brilliant idea.).

So don't take it too hard -- if people could predict decently, prices would
already be different.

That said, if you had money, just sticking it in a fairly broad index fund
has wound up being a solid investment. No black-swan predicting skills needed.

Time to make an ANSI from a picture of one of your plants, and annoy 25% of
the people for whom the ANSI doesn't come through very well. :)
