Subj : Issue with Lore 2.50 To : All From : Codefenix Date : Fri Aug 07 2020 15:53:00 Are there any other sysops out there that run Lore 2.50 on their BBS? There seems to be an issue with it. I'll try to explain as best I can. On a fresh install, after a new player starts the game, plays, and then quits and sets up camp, when the player later returns to the game, they're followed around by a "nobody" character. The player has to hit "I" at the prompt to ignore interactions with the "nobody" in order to move, however the "nobody" proceeds to follow the player everywhere, requiring repeated "I" presses at every step. What's weirder, is if the player quits and rejoins again, it produces a second "nobody" which follows the first "nobody" around. I suspect what's happening is the player's initial character is getting copied and then treated as an NPC by the game. Just wondered if this is a known bug, if anyone else has experienced it, and if there's a fix/patch for it. Heck, maybe it's a "feature" that I overlooked in the docs. :) It's otherwise a very nice game and I'd like to try to solve the problem before taking the game down. --- þ Synchronet þ ConstructiveChaos BBS - conchaos.synchro.net * Origin: fsxNet FTN<>QWK Gateway (21:4/10) .
