Subj : fsxNet under Synchronet... To : mastermind From : Al Date : Sat Jun 13 2020 17:43:48 Hello mastermind, ma> So, I'm having a bit of an issue with getting fsx running under ma> Synchro. There are quite a few steps needed to add network areas to Synchronet. ma> Is there any WIKIs that discuss how to get an FTN running under Sync? ma> Or better yet, an fsxNet guide? I don't know of an fsxNet guide but the synchronet wiki is has info about SBBSecho and all parts of Synchronet and BBSs generally. http://wiki.synchro.net http://wiki.synchro.net/util:sbbsecho ma> I'm getting my hands dirty and have been trying to work my way through ma> the install - but there is limited resources about this topic. There ma> is some info about getting Fidonet going, and thats what i was working ma> off of. Working off the fido info should be enough although the zones and message areas will be different. ma> At any rate, if anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it. To start be sure your AKAs are added to synchronet.. scfg -> Networks -> Fidonet Echomail and Netmail -> System Addresses You also need to add or import the message areas into Synchronet. scfg -> Message Areas Be sure to also add these areas to your data/areas.bbs Also, make sure the settings in echocfg area what you want them to be and also binkit (these setting are in echocfg) if you use that. Aside from that if you tell us what problems you are having we could supply better answers. Ttyl :-), Al --- GoldED+/LNX * Origin: The Rusty MailBox - Penticton, BC Canada (21:4/106) .
