There are quite a few steps needed to add network areas to Synchronet.

I don't know of an fsxNet guide but the synchronet wiki is has info about SBBSecho and all parts of Synchronet and BBSs generally.

Working off the fido info should be enough although the zones and message areas will be different.

To start be sure your AKAs are added to synchronet..

scfg -> Networks -> Fidonet Echomail and Netmail -> System Addresses

You also need to add or import the message areas into Synchronet.

scfg -> Message Areas

Be sure to also add these areas to your data/areas.bbs

Also, make sure the settings in echocfg area what you want them to be and also binkit (these setting are in echocfg) if you use that.

Aside from that if you tell us what problems you are having we could supply better answers.
