DD-WRT has a ton of stuff included in it; I'm playing now with plugging a USB drive into it and using the partitions on the drive for the router to run apps.

Make sure your wireless security is set to WPA2 + AES, and set a good password. There are a couple of good instructions on how to set up a guest network isolated from your home network.
