Thanks for the info.. It is much appreciated.. :) Technically rlogin doesn't pass a password, but yeah as maskreet said people in bbsing use the client username as a password. Tenser could probably tell us about rlogin better than me, I started using Linux etc after SSH was the thing to use. I'm not sure how traditionaly rlogin is authenticated, but my guess is via ip address much like NFS.
