"hpt pack" is an option for netmail only, and doesn't do what the above says it does. I believe it should say "hptutil pack" instead. I pack messages on my BBS because it can be handled there. Newsreaders is a different story, though. I thought hptutil was recently updated to be able to do this, but I could definitely be wrong there. Are you using the latest version? If there is nothing worth keeping, I don't bother packing. I just delete the JAM files of said echo and start over every so often when one or some message areas get too big. rm ALLFIX_FILE.* Then load up Golded and enter that area to re-create all the JAM files. That's a common one used here. ;) -- Regards, Nick .... "Take my advice, I don't use it anyway." --- Mozilla Thunderbird * Origin: _thePharcyde distribution system (Wisconsin) (21:1/200.0) .
