So what? There's fiber in the house where I live but I'm not connected. WiFi means that the communication is by radio waves in the GHz bands. I use Wifi on all my laptops and also on the stationary machines. To use WiFi on stationary machines you need a Network Adapter that either plugs into a USB port or connects to a network port. In my case it's an Asus USB-N13 Network adapter. The laptops have a built-in WiFi adapter, even the oldest ones have it. I still have two copper lines connected to the phone company.
