I prefer having a Cable/Wire plugged in my Computer to the Router instead
of opening up Wi-Fi to the whole world to use.

Knowing I "CAN" adjust the Router Settings to my preference has me feeling
easier about accepting AT&T new Service if they offer it to me.

I had been thinking of looking for a Local BBS that still has Dial-Up
available so I could still get my BBS-Fix if I had dropped the DSL Internet
Service I have with the Telephone Company.

I prefer a Two Wire Telephone connection to my home, but will let them
put whatever kind of Networking Box they have to put on my house to let
a Fiber Optic line replace the Two-Wires I have now.

BTW, I never wanted the AT&T Serviceman to replace the Carbon Block
Lightening Arrester Box on my house with the newer Network Connection Box.

The last time that Box had to be replaced, the Serviceman had to call a
Supervisior to allow him to put a new Carbon Block at my house when the
older one needed replacement.

If anyone wants to walk up to the back of my home and plug an extension
wire in my Telephone Junction Box, they better have Alligator Clips on
the end of their extension wire if they want to use the telephone service
that I pay for.    I know I'm a hard man.......

I guess Fiber Optic is less vunernable(sp?) to a Lighting Hit than Copper
Wire is.

Them using Fiber my let them not have to have so many Electrical Grounding
connections between the Exchange and their Subscribers.

They would save bunches of $$$$$$$$$'s not having to have Lightening
Arrestors installed everywhere.

Hmmm, they must have an Employee who is of Scotchish heritage.......

And thanks for the reminder to Save the Old Router Settings before I change
anything on it, and to also Save the Settings that I change on it.
