Severe thunderstorms are not expected on Monday or Monday night. ....Synopsis... A very deep mid/upper-level trough will move across the eastern CONUS on Monday. A deepening surface low will move north-northeastward across parts of eastern/northern New England through the day. MUCAPE will remain quite modest, but may become sufficient for sporadic lightning flashes within weak elevated convection from southeast MA into the eastern half of ME. Farther south, isolated storms cannot be ruled out early in the period across parts of the FL Keys and Straits, before a strong cold front sweeps through the remainder of the region. Elsewhere, very cold midlevel temperatures will continue to support convective snow bands near and over parts of the Great Lakes.
