....Discussion...
Progressive nearly zonal mid/high-level flow will persist over the
CONUS through tonight, with multiple eastward-moving shortwave
troughs over the Great Basin/central Rockies as well as the Great
Lakes and Northeast. In spite of mid-level moistening and steepening
lapse rates in both cases, forecast soundings suggest that
thunderstorm potential will be essentially nil with buoyancy
remaining very limited with shallow convection.
