Severe thunderstorms are not expected through tonight. ....Synopsis... An intense mid-level shortwave trough initially near the MS-OH River confluence, will quickly move east through the base of a larger-scale trough over the eastern U.S., and reach the Mid-Atlantic coast by early evening. Upstream of this disturbance, another strong mid-level disturbance will rotate southeast from the western Dakotas to the mid MS Valley. In the low levels, a weak surface low over western KY will move east to the Outer Banks during the day. Showers and a few weak thunderstorms are possible mainly during the morning across parts of KY before diminishing.
