Areas of thunderstorms are not expected today.

A broad upper trough is present today over the Great Lakes region,
while a secondary shortwave trough rotates into the area tonight.
Warm lake temperatures and cold air aloft pose a risk of convective
showers in the lee of Lake Superior and Michigan.  However, forecast
soundings show a shallow unstable layer and only weak forcing.
Therefore expect any lightning activity to remain below a 10%
coverage threshold.
