....THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON
AND EVENING OVER PART OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...

....SUMMARY...
Isolated gusty/damaging wind gusts may occur with thunderstorms over
the mid Mississippi Valley this afternoon.

....MO/IL...
A large upper trough is slowly digging southward across the CONUS,
with the primary cold front currently extending from the western
Great Lakes region into the Southern Plains.  Isolated to widely
scattered thunderstorms may occur in vicinity of the front this
afternoon and evening along its entire length.  However, a consensus
of CAM solutions show a small area of slightly higher confidence in
afternoon thunderstorm activity over parts of MO/IL.  Broken clouds
in this region, coupled with frontal forcing and moderately strong
winds aloft may result in a strong/severe storm or two capable of
gusty/damaging winds.
