....SUMMARY...
Severe thunderstorms are not forecast through tonight across the
contiguous United States.

....Synopsis...
A potent mid-level shortwave trough initially along the Mid-Atlantic
coast will pivot northeast to the east of New England during the
day.  An upstream mid-level disturbance over the Upper Great Lakes
will reinforce the larger-scale trough as it moves quickly
southeastward to the central Appalachians by daybreak Sunday.
Showers and a few thunderstorms are possible during the day near the
New England coastal areas.  Elsewhere, quiescent conditions will
prevail across much of the Lower 48 states.
