Organized severe thunderstorms are not forecast across the contiguous United States tonight. ....Synopsis... Early evening water-vapor imagery shows a weak mid-level trough over the lower MS Valley and a weak disturbance over the northeast Gulf Coast. Tropical cyclones Idalia and Franklin continue to move northward to the south and southeast of these aforementioned mid-level features. Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible this evening across parts of the southern Appalachians and Southeast, as well as the CO Front Range southward into NM and AZ.
