The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 614
continues.

SUMMARY...Severe threat will spread southeast across eastern
CO/western KS this evening. New WW will likely be warranted to
account for this evolution.

DISCUSSION...Scattered supercells continue across the central High
Plains from southwest NE into eastern CO. This activity is
propagating southeast along an instability axis that currently
extends across southwest KS into eastern CO. Over the last few
hours, LLJ has gradually increased along this corridor, and should
continue to increase over southwest KS in response to the
approaching short-wave trough. Latest MRMS data continues to suggest
severe hail is occurring with supercells over Cheyenne and Yuma
Counties in eastern CO. While some tornado threat appears possible
with these storms in the short term, greatest risk downstream will
likely be hail and some wind threat.
