The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 568
continues.

SUMMARY...Isolated damaging wind gusts are possible through the
evening across portions of southern New England.

DISCUSSION...Storms across eastern NY and western MA have been
mostly sub-severe thus far. However, some uptick in lightning has
been observed over the past hour from central MA to western CT as
storms move into a slightly warmer airmass. However without
additional heating/destabilization expected, storms will likely
remain mostly sub-severe, with occasional damaging wind gusts
possible through the evening. Watch 568 will continue to be cleared
behind the cold front until expiration or until the cold front exits
into the Atlantic.
