Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing hail and strong gusts are possible on Monday. ....Northern/Central High Plains... A belt of persistent moderate mid/upper northwesterly flow will extend from the northern Plains toward the TN Valley on Monday. At the surface, east/southeasterly low-level flow will maintain a tongue of seasonal moisture from the Ozarks into the central/northern Plains. Upslope low-level flow along a surface trough over the northern High Plains will support another day of isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms. Some severe potential will accompany these storms given adequate shear and instability, though longevity of this activity may be limited by nebulous large-scale ascent and a narrow window for surface-based convection. Nevertheless, isolated hail and strong/damaging gusts will be possible. ...Leitman.. 07/29/2023 $$ = = = To unsubscribe from WX-STORM and you already have a login, go to https://lists.illinois.edu and use the "Unsubscribe" link.
