The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 559, 560
continues.

SUMMARY...Severe storms capable of damaging wind and hail remain
likely from parts of southeast Minnesota into western Wisconsin
within WW 559, and will likely evolve eastward into central
Wisconsin. A new watch is likely.

DISCUSSION...A small MCS currently exists over western WI, with
additional storms extending eastward above a slightly cooler air
mass into north-central WI. Meanwhile a stationary front remains
situated roughly from central IA into southwest WI, with a very
moist and unstable air mass there.=20

Given the influence of the upper trough, the activity over western
and northern WI may increase in both coverage and intensity through
the evening, with developing damaging wind and hail threat. A lake
breeze has stabilized parts of eastern WI, but a favorable corridor
should remain in place across the southwestern half of the state.
