The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 543
continues.

SUMMARY...Threat for damaging gusts and isolated hail continues
across far northeast KS and northwest MO.

DISCUSSION...The initially cellular activity across eastern NE has
now fully grown upscale, with the resulting cluster now dominated by
a southward/southeastward-progressing cold pool. Most recent surface
observations reported gusts from 35 to 42 kt as the gust front moved
through. This gust strength will likely be maintained as the cluster
continues southward/southeastward into more of far northeast KS and
northwest MO. Warm-air advection related thunderstorm development
has occurred ahead of the line, in a north-south orientated line
from southeast KS through the Kansas City vicinity. A few strong
gusts are possible in the vicinity of these storms as storm
interactions may promote locally stronger updrafts/downdrafts.

Storms within this cluster are eventually expected to weaken, but
updrafts have been relatively steady-state for the past hour and the
warm-air advection should continue for the next few hours. As such,
the cluster will likely persist into the late morning.
