Medium-range model guidance continues to show a large mid-level
ridge centered over the Rockies and central U.S. during the extended
period.  The overall upper-air pattern will preclude a more
significant severe episode occurring during this timeframe, but more
mesoscale-driven severe will remain difficult to predict at longer
timescales---hence a predictability-too-low highlight appears
warranted.
