....THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER MUCH OF THE
CENTRAL PLAINS FROM MINNESOTA TO THE TEXAS PANHANDLE...

....SUMMARY...
Severe storms remain possible over parts of the Plains from southern
Minnesota to the Texas Panhandle. Very large hail and locally
destructive gusts may accompany storms over the central Plains,
extending southward toward the Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma.

....Plains...
Rare levels of low-level moisture are currently in place from
eastern CO into OK, with lower 70s dewpoints into southeast CO and
lower 80s into central OK. This is resulting in a large area of very
strong instability, even where temperatures aloft are warmer. The
00Z OUN sounding showed over 6700 J/kg MUCAPE with PWAT nearly
2.50". This should maintain a threat of severe wind through the
night as storms over shift southeastward. Outflows from the various
wide-scattered clusters of storms could initiate new cells anywhere
from CO to AR. In addition, other storms over NE may persist for
much of the night with modest low-level winds maintaining moisture.

....Northeast...
A line of storms is now entering western MA, northwest CT, and NH,
and may persist this evening into western ME. 00Z soundings from the
area  show ample instability and around 30-35 kt deep-layer shear.
This may maintain cells a littler farther east over the next 1-2
hours before the air mass stabilizes. Until then, marginal hail or
isolated damaging gusts remain possible.
