Rainfall rates of 1-2 inches in 30 minutes can be expected with the strongest cells, and this may lead to some instances of flooding. DISCUSSION...There will be two main areas of focus across the outlook area. The first will be an ongoing complex of storms that developed over the past few hours near the Red River, and this will continue to slowly settle towards the southeast across portions of northeast Texas and northwestern Louisiana. The second area of concern will be across south-central portions of Mississippi and into adjacent portions of Alabama where a slow moving MCS is nearly anchored in place with multiple instances of back-building cells noted on recent Doppler radar scans. There are also some slow moving cells farther south closer to the Interstate 20 corridor that could eventually merge with the main complex to the north.=20 Parts of this region had significant rainfall over the past couple of days, with the majority of this happening on Friday where a broken swath of 2-4 inch rainfall totals was observed from the greater Shreveport area towards Natchez, and those areas will be slightly more prone to flooding. The ARW2 and the latest HRRR appear to have the best overall depiction compared to ongoing radar trends, and this guidance suggests the potential for patchy rainfall maxima of 2-4 inches by 11 pm local time, with much of this falling within a two hour period in any given location.=20 Hamrick ....Please see https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov__;!!= DZ3fjg!_rwJvng4eLpzulxtbih9gNY2WU-jkg-Gx8OlChxfH2igWz97PsxB-LxNF1IbKR1rVXff= UwnC7LVLeK4rTy--R-vaGtQ$ for graphic product...
