The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 291, 292 continues.

SUMMARY...The threat for very large hail, significant damaging
winds, and a few tornadoes will continue in a narrow zone across
central Alabama into southwest Georgia. A strong tornado remains
possible, especially across southwest Georgia.

DISCUSSION...Multiple supercells and bowing clusters are ongoing
from parts of central AL into southwest GA this afternoon. Large to
very large hail (2-3+ inch diameter) will remain a concern with any
supercells given 3000-4000+ MLCAPE and 50-60+ kt of deep-layer shear
present across the warm sector. Significant damaging winds (60-75+
mph) will also be a concern with any small bowing clusters given the
ample instability present and steepened low-level lapse rates
along/south of ongoing convection. A few tornadoes also remain
possible in the short term, particularly in southwest GA where
effective SRH ranges from 200-400 m2/s2 along/near a surface
boundary. A strong tornado remains a possibility in this area as
well given the strength of the low-level shear and presence of a
25-35 kt low-level jet.
