....THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FOR PARTS OF
DEEP SOUTH TEXAS...

....SUMMARY...
An isolated severe gust or instance of hail remains possible with
any of the stronger storms across the Continental U.S. this evening,
especially in Deep South Texas.

....Synopsis...
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms persist across much of the
western/central CONUS and the FL peninsula this evening as they
thrive on residual boundary-layer-based buoyancy. An instance or two
of severe wind/hail may accompany one of the remaining strong
thunderstorms over the next couple hours, particularly with storms
in deep south TX, where a Category 1/Marginal Risk remains in place.
However, given the onset of nocturnal cooling in an overall weakly
forced environment (driven by a relatively benign upper pattern),
the expectation is for thunderstorm frequency and intensity to
continue declining through the evening, as is already evident with
CONUS-scale NLDN data.
