The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 232
continues.

SUMMARY...Potential for strong to severe wind gusts persists over
parts of west-central Texas, but is expected to decrease through
watch expiration time.

DISCUSSION...A storm complex currently extends from Nolan into Young
Counties, with propagation favoring a more southward direction as
eastern portions of the line weaken. Radar shows prominent
intersecting outflows near DYX, and this may continue to favor
updraft regeneration as the system continues southeastward. In
addition, the strongest storms are already near the instability
axis, where 20 kt southerly 850 mb winds aid storm-relative inflow.
The organized nature of the line, along with a history of sporadic
measured severe gusts, suggest a few damaging gusts may yet occur
into the southern half of watch 232.
