Valid 092256Z - 100030Z The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 206 continues. SUMMARY...Severe wind/hail threat will increase across extreme southeast Kansas and southwest Missouri into northeast Oklahoma over the next few hours. Small severe thunderstorm watch may be warranted soon to account for this risk across northeast Oklahoma. DISCUSSION...Long-lived MCS that evolved over south-central NE/northwest KS has grown upscale and is propagating toward southwest MO early this evening. An embedded MCV is currently located over northern Franklin County KS and the strongest squall line surge is immediately ahead of this feature. Measured severe wind gusts have been observed, along with large hail. Trailing squall line will likely exit southern portions of ww206 soon along the KS/OK border. New severe thunderstorm watch will likely be warranted into northeast OK to account for this threat. Otherwise, MCS is expected to continue propagating southeast within a reservoir of strong instability. ...Darrow.. 05/09/2023 ....Please see https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.spc.noaa.gov__;!!DZ3fj= g!5mU90jXkCm6dqiqsmW5L7WhS94-_Fzn7VDwKt0vY21xHfa_uV-ND-yIdwiL0jLLPTiZfK2A69= J623lMebWfvdgZ4X_g$ for graphic product...
