Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 186...

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 186
continues.

SUMMARY...Isolated severe storms are ongoing from North Texas to
just south of Del Rio.  As the storms gradually near the eastern
portion of WW 186, extension of the watch in area, or possibly a
new/downstream WW, will likely be required.

DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop shows a small cluster of
severe/rotating storms over central Texas, moving east-northeastward
at around 30 kt.  The storms are ongoing within a moist/unstable
warm sector, south of the North Texas warm front and just east of a
north-south dryline.=20=20

The strongest cell is now entering Erath County, where large hail
appears likely to be ongoing.  Expect large hail, and locally
damaging wind gusts, to be the primary concern over the next 1 to 2
hours.

As the storms near the eastern edge of WW 186, an increase in severe
risk east of the counties currently contained in the watch will
warrant consideration for either an areal extension of the watch, or
new WW issuance.
