The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 163
continues.

SUMMARY...Scattered strong/severe thunderstorms will gradually
propagate south across ww163.

DISCUSSION...Low-level southeasterly inflow has increased a bit
across south-central TX late this evening, partly in response to a
weak short-wave trough that is approaching the TX south Plains.
Scattered convection continues along the surface wind shift but
renewed elevated thunderstorms are now evolving north of the
boundary ahead of the approaching short wave. With time, large-scale
forcing may encourage upscale growth near the frontal zone. This
activity will then propagate south-southeast, possibly maturing into
an MCS later this morning.
