The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 160
continues.

SUMMARY...Some damaging wind threat may persist through the evening.

DISCUSSION...A line of storms along a cold front continues to move
east across the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic. Some strong to borderline
severe wind gusts were observed across eastern Pennsylvania this
afternoon, where the temperature/dewpoint spreads were high
(30-35F). However, wind gusts seem to be less efficient now ahead of
these storms where spreads are around 15 to 20F, despite similar
instability as earlier. In addition, the line of storms along the
cold front lacks much forward progression, which is also a limiting
factor for more robust severe wind potential. Therefore, some
damaging wind threat may persist through the evening, but the threat
appears to be slowly trending downward.
