The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 162
continues.

SUMMARY...Isolated severe thunderstorm threat continues.

DISCUSSION...Latest satellite imagery suggests a mid-level
short-wave trough over northern NM digging east-southeast toward the
south TX Plains. Surface pressures are building across the High
Plains which will aid surging cold front as it advances south into
the Edwards Plateau this evening. Isolated supercells have developed
along the eastern plume of steep low-level lapse rates where surface
temperatures climbed into the mid 80s. This activity should
propagate south-southeast this evening where ample buoyancy will
continue to aid updraft strength. Very large hail is possible at
times.
