Severe thunderstorms are not forecast tonight.

....01z Update...

Southern-stream short-wave trough is currently progressing across
the southern High Plains. Scattered mostly weak convection developed
ahead of this feature as lower-tropospheric lapse rates steepened
and convective temperatures were breached. 00z soundings from MAF
and AMA at 00z exhibit weak buoyancy with high LFCs and low PW
values. Nocturnal cooling over the next few hours will greatly
diminish this activity as it propagates slowly eastward. As a
result, severe threat is decreasing rapidly and locally gusty winds
are the greatest threat for the next 1-2 hours.
