The potential for severe weather is expected to remain low across the continental United States Monday and Monday night. ....DISCUSSION... An upper-level low will move across the Great Lakes region on Monday. An associated cold front is forecast to advance eastward across the Northeast. Thunderstorm development will be possible during the day ahead of the front in parts of New England. Isolated thunderstorms may also develop in parts of southern and central Florida, where a moist airmass will be in place. Further west, a conditional potential for thunderstorm development will likely exist in parts of the southern High Plains. Isolated lightning strikes could also occur in parts of the Pacific Northwest, mainly along the coast.
