The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 132
continues.

SUMMARY...An isolated threat for large hail and wind damage will
continue for a couple more hours across parts of southeast and
central Oklahoma southward into northwest Texas.

DISCUSSION...The latest radar imagery from Oklahoma City shows
several thunderstorms located in a southwest-to-northeast corridor
from just east of Childress, Texas to near El Reno, Oklahoma. These
storms are located ahead of a southeastward moving surface trough,
and near an axis of instability where the RAP has MLCAPE in the 500
to 1000 J/kg range. The latest WSR-88D VWP from KTLX has 0-6 km
shear near 45 knots. RAP forecast soundings in central and southwest
Oklahoma have lapse rates near 9.0 from 0-3 km above ground level
and near 7.5 C/km from 700 to 500 mb. This environment will continue
to support severe storms associated with a large hail and
wind-damage, especially with supercells. The threat is expected to
gradually diminish as the boundary-layer cools.
