Isolated thunderstorms are expected to continue tonight across parts of the Carolinas, Florida, Texas and along the West Coast. No severe weather is expected. ....DISCUSSION... Latest water-vapor imagery shows a trough-ridge-trough pattern at mid-levels across the continental United States. The eastern most trough is moving through the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys this evening. A few thunderstorms may develop ahead of the trough near and to the east of a cold front in Carolinas tonight. Additional isolated thunderstorms may also develop in parts of Florida, where a moist airmass is located. In the southern Plains, isolated thunderstorms may develop in parts of central Texas, in association with warm advection. Finally, isolated thunderstorms may occur tonight from northern California into far southwest Oregon, in association with lift and cold air aloft along the northern edge of a slow-moving upper-level system.
