The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 88, 89 continues.

SUMMARY...A growing cluster of thunderstorms likely will organize
further while spreading across east central Mississippi into central
Alabama through 9-10 PM CDT, accompanied by increasing risk for
potentially damaging wind gusts.

DISCUSSION...The sustained cluster of convection continues to show
signs of increasing organization east of the Jackson vicinity, with
broad lower/mid-tropospheric cyclonic rotation becoming a bit more
apparent.  Aided by a continuing inflow of seasonably moist air
characterized by large CAPE, it appears that a notable mesoscale
convective vortex may continue to form during the next few hours.  A
substantive surface cold pool appears to be developing, and the
Rapid Refresh suggests that rear inflow will strengthen to at least
40-60 kt in the 850-700 mb layer through 02-03Z, as the evolving
convective system progresses across and north of the Meridian into
central Alabama between Birmingham and Montgomery.  Gradually this
will probably become accompanied by increasing risk for potentially
damaging wind gusts.
