Large hail and damaging winds should be the main concerns, though a couple tornadoes are also possible. DISCUSSION...Latest regional radar data indicates a couple semi-discrete supercell clusters tracking east-northeastward from eastern AL into western GA this afternoon, where a few instances of large hail have been reported. These storms are generally tracking along the southern periphery of outflow-cooled air across north-central GA from earlier convection. Along/south of the outflow boundary over much of western and central GA, earlier diurnal heating/destabilization of a moist airmass (middle/upper 60s surface dewpoints) beneath modestly steep midlevel lapse rates are contributing to a moderately unstable airmass. However, this downstream destabilization is now being stunted by anvil debris spreading eastward from the ongoing convection. At the same time, ample deep-layer shear characterized by long hodographs and modest low-level curvature are evident via regional VWP. While this convection is well removed from any larger-scale forcing for ascent farther west, there is some potential for semi-discrete supercells to continue into the evening hours. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main concerns, though a couple tornadoes will also be possible. ...Weinman/Thompson.. 03/26/2023 ....Please see https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.spc.noaa.gov__;!!DZ3fj= g!-hpKKaM0k9rY2eGzxpRJkHofPFykPNrtWAcTLuI7zsXEhIDR4VUzhD1ZwRLgNX0_H1TIcjOBb= iAYu22vkKIKHa6_qCQ$ for graphic product...
