Valid 240611Z - 240815Z The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 73 continues. SUMMARY...Storms are ongoing across both northeastern and southwestern portions of WW 73, where severe risk -- mainly in the form of large hail -- is ongoing. DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop shows storms ongoing across the Concho Valley region of Texas, where large hail potential is indicated. Meanwhile, a separate cluster of storms is moving across North Texas north of the DFW Metroplex at this time. The North Texas storms have taken on a bowing configuration over the past half hour or so. While the storms appear to remain slightly elevated, just to the cool side of the front, the convection may cross the boundary and become surface-based with time, which could yield potential for damaging wind gusts. Otherwise, hail risk continues with this convection.
