DISCUSSION...Latest surface observations from northeast ND show persistent visibility reductions to 1/4 mile or lower. Although sustained winds near 20-25 knots and occasional gusts near/above 30 knots have been reported, blowing snow model output suggests that these visibility reductions are being driven by a combination of blowing snow associated with gusts above 30 knots and light to moderate snowfall. Coincidentally, an organized snow band continues to develop between the Devils Lake to Fargo, ND region within a region of strong low to mid-level confluence along an occluding front. This snow band is expected to linger roughly along the ND Highway 2 corridor for the next several hours as the surface low migrates to the east/southeast and may support periods of moderate, to localized heavy, snowfall rates. Gradient winds are expected to continue to gust into the 25-35 knot range to the north of the surface low track, which will likely coincide with the placement of the snow band. Consequently, blizzard conditions are most likely to be maintained across portions of northeast to east-central ND and far northwest MN for the next several hours - especially in open country where frequent gusts above 30 knots are more likely. ...Moore.. 03/12/2023 ....Please see https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.spc.noaa.gov__;!!DZ3fj= g!9GcYARLYfhzAGmUo89S2oKqeD3ARVVtSHoGaUIdnpxz8zhn1b11lRUBxEmi9Z8stR9540qsxN= AoyR7U5wEbJy6KjtMk$ for graphic product...
