....SUMMARY...
Thunderstorms will be possible today in parts of northern California
and central Florida. A few storms may also occur in the Upper
Midwest tonight. No severe threat is expected.

....DISCUSSION...
West-southwest flow at mid-levels will be in place across much of
the U.S. today. An upper-level trough will move through the western
states. A small area of thunderstorms could develop in northern
California near this feature. A few thunderstorms may also develop
in parts of central Florida within a moist airmass. Isolated
elevated thunderstorms could also develop tonight along a corridor
of enhanced low-level flow in the Upper Midwest. No severe threat is
expected in any of these three areas.
