Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 43...

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 43
continues.

SUMMARY...A convective band with embedded severe-caliber winds will
continue crossing western Kansas.  As storms exit eastern fringes of
WW 43, a new watch will be issued across central Kansas.

DISCUSSION...While storms have diminished somewhat in intensity
across WW 43, with prior low-level circulations having diminished,
very strong/damaging winds remain possible with this convection,
given the very strong deep-layer wind field.

Storms will reach the edge of the watch in the next hour, and with
at least modest downstream instability, risk for damaging wind gusts
eastward into central Kansas will warrant new WW issuance.
