The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 43
continues.

SUMMARY...Severe storms -- capable of producing very
strong/destructive wind gusts and brief tornadoes -- will continue
moving quickly across western Kansas, in and near Severe
Thunderstorm Watch 43.

DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop shows that storms have evolved
upscale into a complex/broken band, with embedded low-level
circulations, and are moving rapidly east-northeastward.  The storms
are occurring near the advancing front and just southeast of the
988mb northwest Kansas surface low, within a zone of mixed-layer
CAPE in the 500 to 1000 J/kg range.

A couple of storms -- particularly ones recently crossing Finney and
Gray counties just west/northwest of DDC (Dodge City) -- have shown
indications of possible tornadic circulations.  In addition, a
recent 81 mph gust was reported from Haskell County as the band of
convection moved through.

Over the next couple of hours, expect heightened severe potential to
continue across WW 43 given the extreme kinematic environment, with
eventual new watch consideration for points east.
