SUMMARY...Rain transitioning to snow over the next few hours.
Blizzard conditions with low visibility and blowing snow likely this
evening.

DISCUSSION...Surface observations show a change over from rain to
snow across portions of eastern South Dakota along and near the I-29
corridor. The strongest winds are still being observed just to the
west of the heaviest snowfall. HREF ensembles indicate that
sustained winds of 35+ mph (gusting up to 50 mph) will spread into
eastern South Dakota between 04-06z. HREF conditional probabilities
show the highest probability of blizzard conditions (<1/4 mi
visibility and sustained winds >35 mph) occurring across the I-29
corridor between 06-09z, gradually shifting eastward into Minnesota.
While snow rates are generally expected to be below 1"/hr, blowing
and drifting snow will lead to low visibility and slick travel.
